The secret to Duraspin is its exceptionally high compressive strength and excellent wear resistance - even at high temperatures. Duraspin maintains its strength and stiffness during burnishing. Duraspin roller tools burnish the grain and pores of non-ferrous metals as the metal is distributed in a series of passes onto a steel mandrel. Burnishing also removes rings and wrinkles with the result being a grain free, mirror like finish. Shutting down a machine to redress rollers consumes valuable manufacturing time. Duraspin rollers can last an average of 8 shifts before redressing is needed - which equals LESS DOWN TIME!! *Duraspin is a trademark of DSM Gesidur As an economical alternative, manufacturers and job shops have been using Gesidur to give a superior finish on reflectors and other aluminum spinnings.  It is vastly superior to acetal plastic.
