Job shops prefer to emulate the motions of a skilled hand spinner. Spinform lets the operator ‘drive’ (teach) the machine. Through one or two joysticks create the toolpath and edit afterwards.
Machine Drives
Not all users of spinning lathes want to ‘drive’ – use joysticks to control the tool path. This method is suited for manufacturers or companies that do not have spinners on staff. With the Machine Drive option, the operator enters a number of parameters and the machine develops the tool paths – download and let it ‘drive’.
